Here are some pictures from a recent trip back to Baghdad.

This picture is the entrance to an area protected by Coalition troops. The on on the right is a monument inside the same area.

Not sure what the structure is in the first picture, but I thought it was cool. The next one is the base of on of the hands at the Avenue of the Crossed Swords. Suddam Hussein was the model for the hands. If you look closely at the bottom of the arm, you will see small green helmets. These were the helmets of the fallen Iranian soldiers for the Iran / Iraq War.

The first picture was taken on the way back through the IZ, and the second one is a picture of US Army Bradley Fighting Vehicles.
