Finally arrived at my newest final destination last night. After leaving Phoenix Academy, we spent an additional 3 days at another FOB waiting for transportation. The helicopters finally arrived last night and took us here. Where is here? Hard to explain. I am in the middle of nowhere at a range complex. This installation supports units that come here to fire their weapon systems. This would include small arms as well as large caliber weapons to include tanks and field artillery.

It's a pretty desolate place. Very hot, windy, and sandy, but it's home for a while. Tomorrow is the 4th of July and my thought will be of home, family, and barbeques. Hope everyone has a good holiday, and God Bless America.
