Well, I'm about 11 days into the training, and we're finally starting to do some training. In the past week we've gotten equipment issued to us at CIF (central issue facility). This includes clothing as well as our tactical equipment. Yesterday we qualified on our M4 rifles for daytime, nighttime, and chemical environment. Unfortunately, we had to do it while wearing very heavy body armor.

Today we spent the day in First Aid class. We've also been to briefings and training to prepare us for encounters with IED while deployed. Other than that, the weather has been unpredictable and the people on my team have been top-notch. I feel very confident in our abilities at this point.
